What Nirvana is
Nirvana is an independently branded Android browser led by Abhiraj Aryan. It is based on the Fennec / Firefox Android open-source browser stack and uses GeckoView. Its goal is a clear, colourful everyday browser with meaningful privacy controls.

Built on open source
Based on Firefox’s open-source Android code and GeckoView. Nirvana’s own Android source is not public yet; MPL-covered source can be requested by email.
Connection to Mozilla
The code lineage and some current services come from Mozilla. Nirvana is not an official Mozilla release. The current build still uses Mozilla infrastructure for some optional diagnostics and account flows; those dependencies are disclosed in the Privacy Notice.

The Android source still contains Mozilla help and legal URLs in SupportUtils.kt. The Nirvana website now provides matching destinations; the app must be updated and shipped separately to open those destinations by default.
