Enhanced Tracking Protection can block requests associated with known cross-site trackers, and may include other categories according to the selected mode. It does not block every advertisement, every fingerprinting technique or tracking done by the site you deliberately use.
Open Settings → Privacy and security → Enhanced Tracking Protection. Standard is a balance for everyday use; stricter choices can block more requests but may break site components. Check the labels shown in your release.
Use the protection icon on that site to inspect the current status. You can temporarily turn off protection for that site, reload and test. Re-enable it after the task, and remove old exceptions periodically.
Standard aims for broad compatibility; Strict can block more tracking content and may break site functionality; Custom lets you choose categories if offered in the build. More blocking is not automatically better for every task.
Balanced for everyday browsing.
On a page, tap the shield to see protection status and blocked categories. A site may still collect data you give it directly, and a new tracker may not be on the active list.
