Technical data can describe the app version, device and Android environment, feature use and performance. Interaction data can describe how browser controls are used. It is different from deliberately sending your full browsing history, but event details can still be sensitive.
The reviewed source sets telemetry off by default. When you opt in, the inherited Glean telemetry path can upload to Mozilla’s default infrastructure. The on-screen “Nirvana team” wording does not accurately name that destination; treat the Mozilla privacy notice as relevant until the endpoint is changed and independently checked.
Open Nirvana Settings → Data collection. Find “Send technical and interaction data to Fennec Nirvana Team” or the equivalent label. Turn it off to stop future optional telemetry. Restarting is normally unnecessary, though previously queued events may be processed according to the service’s behavior.
This site does not yet have a release-specific list of every event, recipient subprocessor or retention interval. Do not interpret an off switch as a promise that your websites, search provider or Sync account receive no data.
The switch controls future optional telemetry under that choice. It does not alter data that a website, search provider or account service separately receives, and it cannot undo a report already uploaded. If you want to ask about a prior report, include the app version and approximate date in a support request.
The installed Settings screen may use “Fennec Nirvana Team” or “Nirvana team.” In the reviewed source the inherited Glean upload path is enabled only if telemetry is enabled, and no Nirvana-owned production telemetry endpoint is configured in that flow. Verify a release APK before claiming a final recipient inventory.
