In this guide
An exception disables or relaxes Enhanced Tracking Protection for one selected site. It can make a broken checkout or sign-in work, but it also allows requests that protection would otherwise block there.
Open the affected site, tap its protection icon and choose the site-specific option. Reload and test. If that did not solve the issue, restore protection instead of leaving an unnecessary exception.
Open Settings → Privacy and security → Enhanced Tracking Protection → Exceptions, if shown in your build. Remove sites you no longer trust or need. Clearing app data can also reset exceptions.
Confirm the website address, reload once, then test with a temporary exception. If that fixes the page, finish the task and re-enable protection. If it does not, restore protection and check site permissions or extensions instead.
- Check the address
- Reload once
- Try a temporary exception
- Turn protection back on
An ETP exception affects tracker and cookie protections for the selected site; it does not automatically grant camera, microphone or location access. Those permissions live elsewhere in Settings.
